Project Overview

A specialist equestrian training centre sought to install a more durable, safe and easy-to-manage fencing system for its heavily used training grounds.

The training centre comprises:

• 8 specialist training arenas
• 480 metres of arena perimeter fencing
• Electric fencing throughout the grounds
• High-frequency daily training and horse movement

For such a large-scale training facility, fencing is not merely a boundary feature but an integral part of daily operations.

Challenges Faced

Unlike ordinary pastures, professional training grounds are subjected to much higher intensity of use on a daily basis.

With horses frequently entering and exiting the training areas, and riding training and competition preparation taking place continuously, the fencing must remain neat, secure and reliable at all times.

During the project planning phase, the client focused on the following key considerations:

MIGA Equine Solution

To address the training centre’s specific requirements, we have configured a flexible fencing tape system for the project, combined with an electric fencing design covering the entire site.

The fencing system covers all training areas and the perimeter of the arena.

The flexible fencing tape is clear and conspicuous, helping horses to quickly identify boundaries whilst maintaining a visually consistent appearance across the site.

The accompanying electric fencing covers all track areas, providing additional security for day-to-day management.

The simple structural design not only enhances installation efficiency but also facilitates future inspections and maintenance.

Project Outcomes

Upon completion, the entire training centre presents a more professional and tidy appearance.

The 480-metre arena and eight training grounds are now managed under a unified planning framework.

The fencing lines are clear and fluid, blending naturally with the surroundings to create a more comfortable training environment for riders, trainers and horses.
